A Hiccup takes your breath away. That's exactly what we try to do...

Hiccup Theatre is a theatre company making work for children, young people and their families. We encourage them to Discover, Question, Explore, Create, Express, Laugh, Inspire and Be Inspired.

We aim to:

  1. Make playful and inventive new theatre for children, young people and family audiences.
  2. Create bold and visually striking work which is a feast for the senses exploring the interplay between music, storytelling and physical theatre.
  3. Create work which puts children & young people at the centre of the work and which actively involves them in our artistic process.
  4. Create work which is collaborative, pushing the artistic boundaries of what Children and Young People's theatre can be.
  5. Create work which embraces and reflects the diverse world we live in.
  6. Tour to children, young people and their families regionally, nationally and internationally.
  7. Embrace digital technology and use it to communicate and create.
